I love food. I love eating it, love cooking it, love looking at pictures of it. Most of my favorite dishes are ones that don’t really photograph well or are called ‘weird’. I love Blood pudding, Haggis, kidney, well made tripe. I live in Toronto and the city has a really interesting variety of weird and good food.

In today’s food world with sous-vide cooking and charcuterie, sometimes people miss the simple ideas about food. I think high level techniques are great, if they end up making the food taste good. From my years cooking and the food that I’ve come to like, I think I’ve come to a realization that it’s less about technique and more about time spent that makes the food good. Which is probably why all crockpot dinners taste really good to me.

I update the blog every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not every post will have the recipe, because some of the food that I post on here is simply something I threw together in about 10 mins. If you do want the recipe, feel free to email me or comment on the post.
